| Assalamu Alaykum, brothers I enjoy listening to your music and I saw your interview on Saturday Night Live which was really good, Mashallah. I was completely mesmerised by your lots voices, the truth is that your songs helped me to strengthen my faith, and for that I wanted to say a special Jazakallah to you, brother, please accept it. I would like some help from you, i just need some advice, I really want to become an author. I want to contribute to the Ummah in some way just the way you have but I enjoy writing more, however I am a bit confused. I am currently doing my A-levels and wish to study English Langauge further at University, Inshallah but I don't know how to pursue my ideal career as a writer further. I love writing fiction novels but currently there are not any Islamic fiction books that are published. So I am a bit unsure of whether you can write fiction novels in Islam. The majority of Islamic books that I have read are all facts, would it be wise of me to write Islamic fiction novels? I really hope that you will respond to this email. I actually know some fiction for kids that was written by authors in the states. However you are right that there are not many fiction books for Islam. So we definately encourage you to improve your writing and seek out first muslim publishers for your works. Then once the word gets out, other publishers will be knocking at your door, inshallah.
