STAND ALONE

Chorus
I am not afraid to stand alone.
I am not afraid to stand alone. If Allah is by my side
I am not afraid to stand alone. Everything will be alright
I am not afraid to stand alone. Gonna keep my head up high

Single mother raising her children
Now she's a Muslim
Started praying and wearing a headscarf
Was a healing for her heart

Struggling with no one to lean on
But with prayer she would be strong
Got a job but then she was laid off
Got a better education and it paid off

Got a call for a job that she dreamed of
Close by, great pay -she was in love - they said...
They brought her in, said she's the number one pick
You got the job, but you gotta lose the outfit"

It's a tough position that they put me in
Cause Ive been struggling with my two children
But I'll continue looking for a job again
My faith in my religion now will never bend

Chorus

Peer pressure, they were insisting
And I was resisting
Some days I felt I would give in
Just wanted to fit in

I know when I'm praying and fasting'
They be teasing and laughing
So I called to my Lord for the power
For the strength every day, every hour...

Then one day there's a new Muslim teacher
Single mom and the people respect her
Just seeing her strength I get stronger
They can break my will no longer

You don't see me sweating when they're jokes're cracking
Never see me cussing' with my pants saggin'
I aint never running yo I'm still standing
I ride with Allah to the very end

Chorus

I am not afraid to stand alone...

Now, I'm a tough one, who can bear their blows
The rest play dumb, they don't dare say no
Scared of being shunned, but its clear they know
I aint never gonna run, I aint scared no more.

Man, these sisters be resolute
Never stressed when the rest say they wasn't cute
And the get the respect of the other youth
Come best with the dress yo and that's the truth

These sisters are strong gonna hand it down
So me I'm a brotha gotta stand my ground
I aint gonna shudder, when the gangs around
Peer pressure whatever, its my planet now

Others may fall, I'mma hold my own
With Allah's help I'll be strong as stone
And I'mma be brave and let Al Islam be shown
Cause you I know I not afraid to stand alone

Chorus

Your Lord is Watching

11 o clock at night and now your lying in your bed, cause see your
Thinking about the plan that your rehearsing in your head,
Your waiting for your family to doze right off to sleep, And then you
slip out of the house to where you and your shorty meet

Rolled up to the party and your strolling cause its hardly
Even 12:00am and now the party's getting started
3:00am you heading back into your place and then
you climbed back in the window you left open just in case

Your think that your so slick, you know just how to trick
and pull a hoax upon your folks and they dont notice it.
You know that you should not, I think that you forgot
Like any crime, its only time before you getting caught

Chorus
Your lord is watching and he knows every step that you take
And he knows every plan that you make
And he can catch your every mistake
And he can catch your every mistake

The personal computer is a real amazing thing
with all the knowledge it can bring to our young men and young women
But you know when you have been, using it for doing sin
Find a hidden place within, and then the downloading begins

And quickly you begin to get, savy with the internet
The devil whispers and convinces you that you aint sinning yet
You know its wrong and if your caught they all will be upset, you
learn to close the window quick so no one catches wind of it

Why do we think this, there's no consequences
Your lord may let it slide a bit but that just gives you confidence
he can expose you, to all those who knows you
And when that happens dont come back and say i never told you that...

As Samee' (The All Hearing)
Albaseer (All Seeing),
AlRaqeeb, (The Watchful One)
Al Khabeer,( The Aware)
Inna rabbaka ala kulli shayin qadeer
(Truly your lord is aware of all things)

Chorus

Now everyday that passes, you get bolder in your plans, and
You start scheming in your classes, and start cheating on exams
Your great in fooling masses, and start running little scams, You know
Your sneakiness surpasses every other guy in town.

But then the day arrives now that your Lord had always written
You think that no ones watching, and things just start to happen
The window you left open drew attention of your neighbor
And so they caught you in the act, as you came back in the night

Your sister has a project due and you are off at school
and she's using your computer cause your folks said it was cool
And she comes across some pictures that you forgot to erase
she shows it to your family and soon your in disgrace

The plans you invented, You'll wish you had ended,
And when you see the Hell fire you'll really resent it
Cause sooner or later, you'll face your creator
And never for a moment think your knowledge is greater

Chorus

STILL STRONG

In my house, minding my biz
Sunday morning doing chores and I'm watching my kids
You know how it is, they chilling watching Sesame Street
My wife, showing me how to cook something to eat

Now this is my life, that is my wife, those are my kids
I'm working hard so we can comfortably live
Knock, Knock, somebody is at the front door
Honey, I'll get it I need to take a break from my chores

Knock, Knock, it just went from knock to a pound
Now who is this clown, trying to take my smile to a frown
Knock, Knock, it just went from pound to a bang
Now this is insane and now I hear them yelling my name

I open the door, and what do I see
Its like 23 agents looking at me
They threw the cuffs on my hands and my face to the floor
Dragged away, my family crying at the front door

Chorus
AAAAGGGGHHHHH, we're not breaking, we're still strong
No matter what they do we're moving on

AAAAGGGGHHHHH, we're not breaking, we're still strong
No matter what they do we're moving on

We're still moving on

And they was asking me that and asking me this
Accusing me of being on somebody's terrorist list
I had to resist, I want a lawyers all I would say
But they said that they would torture me all night and all day
And so I would pray for God to give me strength to get through
If the evidence I knew, I would prove it untrue
Osama Bin who, they want to say I support him
If I don't give in, I'll never see my family again
Its been more than 10 months since they dragged me from home
4 hours questioning and 20 in my cell alone..
Its not Islam or Christianity, Its all of the humanity
The religion of vanity drives people to insanity
My soul and my anatomy are patient with calamity
I'll never use profanity just let me see my family

Chorus
So you wanna break me? nah I'm still strong,
Sti--ll wanna hate me? I´ll prove you wrong
wait and you'll see - I was right - all along,
but as for now let me do- do my thing, let me sing this song.
Oh wanna break me? nah I'm still strong,
still wanna hate me? I´ll prove you wrong
wait and you'll see - I was right - all along,
but as for now let me do- do my thing, let me sing this song.

This is wrong, so wrong, so many people know its wrong
Now that you found me you got to go and sing that song
For freedom, justice and equality for all
‘Aint no justice when we let them illegally change laws
So many flaws in my case and I need you to find them all
You're my lawyer so go tell the judge whats really going on

Yeah, let me see now, where do I start
Still the ANTAGONIST, still playing same part
Same old script, yeah same old drama
Only this time -- you trying link me with Osama
Yep, its me! -- public enemy number one
Your specific intelligence nothing but a con
So tell me mr. officer what you got on me?
-TRUMPED UP charges man, clear for all to see
-What did I do now? what is my crime
Please can you tell me why I'ma be doing this time.
Is it coz I put my head on the ground? my foot in the sink?
There gotta be something, man! Tell me what you found
Is it my beard, or the funny way I walk?
The rhymes I be spitting? Or the way I was born to talk?
I'm an Innocent convict, victim of this era
Oppression in the guise of a war on terror
- My lyrical pen is still mightier than their sords
That's why I be in the pen praying to my loord
- Like P said, they won't let- me -out
The faith in my heart that's what its all- about
I'm one of them mooozlems, so best lock me up
That's why I'm rrright here - stuck in this rut
Keep my head high cant no one take my pride
Nothing but a test from Him, we gotta take in stride.

Chorus

LIFE'S WORTH

Summer night on the 4th of July and I'm hanging outside
I take my kids downtown to watch fireworks fly
As the light flicker in my daughters eyes
I think about the plight of a war torn child
And how these same sights and sounds make them cry

And how much is this life worth, is what I say to you
As I sit here right now, watching the evening news
And how much is this life worth, cause it cant be true
We're dying over different points of view
So how much is this life worth to you.

Yah Allah, Yah Allah

It five o-clock and Im rushing home like I always do
I call ahead to my wife and kids and say I'll be there soon
I put the radio on, and the announcer speaks
Of a man rushing home just in time to see
His house blown to rubble with his family beneath

And how much is this life worth, is what I say to you
As I sit here right now, watching the evening news
And how much is this life worth, cause it cant be true
We're dying over different points of view
So how much is this life worth to you.

Yah Allah, oh Allah

How much is this life worth,
How much is this life worth,
How much is this life worth,
How much is this life worth,

We say we stand for justice for all, but what about babies when bombs fall
How much is their life worth to you
And when we say we answer the call of Allah
But is it the way of Rasoolullah
How much is his life worth to you

Yah Allah, help us make dueyeah

And how much is this life worth, is what I say to you
As I sit here right now, watching the evening news
How much is this life worth, cause it can't be true
That we're dying over different points of view
So how much is this life worth to you.

So how much is this life worth to you

PRAY BEFORE

Cause it can happen to you
You working there hard at your grind
But now it's about that time
But yo you got deadlines to make
And your boss is
Riding your back so you make them dates
And now you thinking about
Your projects, your deadlines,
The corporate ladder climb,
Tryin' make your light shine
Your minds in outer space
And far as your salat you wait
Wait, wait
The prayers bout to leave you son
But now your troubles just begun
Before you hit the bar of the space
You hold your chest
Cause now it starts to palpitate
You look to your officemate
Saying this ain't the only thing
With less time left
Losing your breath
Now your rushing to the stairs
Your tripping and you don't know where
Before you hit the lobby door,
You hit the lobby floor
Lights out heart stopping ain't breathing No more
But at my best guess, This akh has been blessed
Cause to his distress Comes an hijabi EMS
With the paddles in the air Vifib type of gear
With her partner standing near, She's yelling out clear
Brought ‘em back from flat lining
He said the whole scene was like Dhikr bead remindin
He says sister please, We best get a move on For they call the adhan
I gotta pray before I'm prayed on
Chorus

I got so many excuses that I use when the athans made
I'm telling lies don't even hesitate
I tell the people I've already prayed
I got this thing I gotta do and I'm already late
Don't lecture me don't want no fitnah or drama
I just need to get out before they make the iqamaPEACE
I'm cruising down the avenue the boulevard
All of a sudden, Oh my God
No fender bender I was critically injured
In the hospital bed my family thought I was deadMAN
I never though it'd happen to me
But I can tell you I was happy to see
All of my boys coming in the emergency room taking a knee
And every single one was praying for me
Eventually I made it through. Al-hamdu-lilah
I thank Allah. A second chance to make salah
Chorus

When it comes to not praying the best, we be notorious
Not focused on our Lord most glorious
A reminder to our self is what the story was
Just talking the talk, that really worries us,
We get caught up in this fleeting world like Morpheus
Making money or getting the Bachalorrious
We keep forgetting that prayer, it makes us victorious
both In this world and the next life, He's rewarding us,
Furious, cause I know I can do better
Recording us, at every show in any weather..
And warning us, when the souls are brought together
The first thing checked are my prayers on the regular
Wake up! never waste this breath
Everybody every soul will get a taste of death
Pray like it's your last prayer cause that date is set
And that your going straight to heaven, NEVER make that bet

TALA'AL BADRU

He eyes slowly rising
Sunrise warms the horizon
Sand dunes form in the distant
He's up and out in an instant

The crowd there, all were waiting
Watching and, anticipating
A man appears from afar
Could it be the one sent by Allah

He shouts “Here comes the prophet!”
His face is a light that drives out the darkness
Words are alive – his message is living
Joy everywhere, our voices are singing

Chorus
Tala'al-Badru 'alayna,
min thaniyyatil-Wada'
wajaba al-shukru 'alayna,
ma da'a lillahi da'

Ayyuha al-mab'uthu fina
ji'ta bi-al-amri al-muta'
Ji'ta sharrafta al-Madinah
marhaban ya khayra da'

He steps and reaches to touch
This man who suffered so much
His own troubles could not compare
To the Prophet scorned everywhere

He was shunned away by his own kin
Ridiculed and stoned by the townsmen
His blood was shed for the truth
But never was he vengeful or rude.

Then the Prophet turns and he smiles
Radiance that spreads out for miles
Embraces his hand with kindness and care
His heart sings out for all those to hear!

Chorus

Wakes up, alarm clock is ringing
Moonlight, sun hasn't risen
Faint sound of cars on the street
But inside his heart he feels peace

He starts recalling the dream
The Prophets face he has seen
Remembers well the tradition
In a dream it truly will be him

Allah, oh what a feeling
So many years he followed his teachings
And this is greatest time in his life
He prays to Allah and sings through the night

Chorus

Welcome, best caller to Gods way
With a word to be obeyed
Like a bright moon in the valley of darkness we lay

THE MESSAGE

Gotta know who your enemy is and your enemy is Shaytan!
So many people wanted Native Deen to cross over
Because the message that we're giving has the potential to bring the people together forever
And you look around and see the people trying to mean like a soldier, hard like a bolder
They don't want to give love they just want to be cold but I tell you that they only getting colder
Until the line up in their rows and they put their feet together and they shoulder to shoulder
But your enemy don't want it so you better do it now and don't wait until you older
That is the message that we're giving and we gonna give it again and again until the struggling is over

CHORUS
Our enemy wants us to give up on the things that we know we should do
But you and I, we have a conscience and to our soul we gotta be true
But some people, some of the people support the enemy ‘cause they don't understand
But that's alright, ‘aint no problem ‘cause Native Deen will still do all that we can

And I can go on and on about how our enemy lies
On and on about how your enemy hates and despises you
Open your eyes its true, your enemy ‘aint gonna sympathize with you

He will continue to his plot, to split and divide
Have people from the same faith on opposite sides
Have people for the wrong cause willing to die
Have you kill a thousand people and not even try

Have all the young brothers just trying to be fly
And all the young sisters, they don't want to be shy
Forget the Army be all you can be for Allah
And never settle just to get by

CHORUS
Gotta know who your enemy is and your enemy is Shaytan!

Once upon a time on a special day
Right before the last Prophet passed away
He gathered all the people and what did he say
The message of the Deen, did I relay?

He said worship God only
Came with good news to the believers to teach us
To give from ourselves and our money
If you want the real life that's next you have to invest
and put something on it

Sent to all mankind to warn us about the terrible day that upon us
You'll be on our knees begging please,
sweating to your neck for your deeds
Mothers will be dropping their babies
People will be running like they drunk and they crazy

Seek refuge in Allah from being lazy
Get to work now ‘aint no time for if, buts and maybe
Do you know what I mean?
Clap your hands if you now what I mean

With the Name of Allah you and ask the people did Native Deen deliver the message
You can ask the people did Native Deen deliver the message
You can ask the people did Native Deen deliver the message
You can ask the people did Native Deen deliver the message
CHORUS

HOLD THE LINE

Lets think to back, back when we started
We were just souls with one target
This was a course that we both charted
But how did we end broken hearted

Ohhhh.

Can faith pull us through
Don't know what I should do
But ask of you

Please please please hold the line now,
I swear please hold the line now
Can see what happened to us
Just look how shaytan will do us

Please please please hold the line now,
I swear please hold the line now
Just long enough so we can find out
Find out how we work things out

Work things out

Now comes the time, time to mend fences
To remove the mask and stop pretending
Because now the whisper's winning
And how could this be our ending

Ohhhh.

Can faith pull us through
Don't know what I should do
I ask of you

Please please please hold the line now,
I swear please hold the line now
Just long enough so we can find out
Find out how we work things out

I know it seems so hard, it seems so hard
When others fall apart, the fall apart
They couldn't make it though, they couldn't make it through
But this I promise you, Allah rewards the Sabiroon

So, so, so

Please please please hold the line now,
I swear please hold the line now
Just long enough so we can find out
Find out how we work things out

Please please please hold the line now,
I swear please hold the line now
Just long enough so we can find out
Find out how we work things out

Work things out

LABAYK

Chorus
Labayk Allah, Huma Labayk.
It's a journey for Allah that I wanna make.

Bound to the sound when the Hajjis go round,
In the place where we face they put their heads to the ground.
Bowin' in submission with conviction of steel.
It's a feeling of peace, I someday hope I can feel

When the month it comes around, its called the month Dhul-Hij
People come from every place on this planet to do it.
It's the Hajj, is a journey to the house of Allah
Where over two million different people come from near and from far...

By car, and by boat and by plane and by the camel
Some brothers even do it by foot just with a sandal.
But when they arrive and then city just glows.
You'll understand the reasoning why everyone goes

Seeking forgiveness from Allah, in every step that they take
Here I am for my creator, Yah they cry out labayk

Chorus

Yo! I'm looking forward to the trip ta Hajj!
Going' to Mecca and Madina with the entourage"
Yo! I'm looking forward to the trip ta Haj!
Comin' back like as a haji like Malik al Shabaz.

From Madinah to Musdelifa, sights that you never saw,
Best of all the trips ain't nothing less that I will settle for
Dawn of lhram, where we all put on white,
Putting on the sheets so that we all look alike

Doing tawaf around the Qaba kissin' the black stone if you can,
But you haven't done nothing till you've done Zam-Zam
Gettin' on that bus so you can get to Ararat,
Getting all those pebbles used to stone the Jamarat.

Pacing back and forth between the Saffa and the Marwah
Commemorating what was done for Ishmael by Hagar
Sacrifice a lamb then go ahead and shave your held
Joining in the feasting after all the prayers are said.

Now nothing beats this trip not even Taj Mahal
Cause there's Africans, Indonesians from Egypt and all,
I'm looking forward to this trip I someday hope I can make
Here I am for my creator and when I cry out Labayk

Translation Of Takbeer-Ul-Eid

Allah is great, Allah is great, Allah is great, There is no god but Allah
Allah is great, Allah is great, and praise is due to Him.
Allah is great, Allah is great, Allah is great, There is no god but Allah

Allah is great, Allah is great, and praise is due to Him.
Allah is the Greatest, and an abundance of praise is due to Him,
And glory and praise be to him morning and evening.

There is no god but Allah, alone, He was true to His promise,
And He granted victory to His worshipper, and He supported His group,
And He conquered the parties (of evil) all by Himself.

There is no deity but Allah, and we worship no one but Him,
And we will sincerely follow the religion for Him,
Even against the wishes of the unbelievers.

May Allah pray upon our Muhammad, and upon his family,
And upon his companions, and upon his supporters,
And upon his wives, And upon his descendants,
And grant an abundance of peace on him.

RAIN SONG

Steps out side, into the scorching heat
The well is dry, the children cry
And the lands they claim defeat

Oh my father, is it evil that we've done
He smiles at the child with faith in his eyes
Inshallah the rains will come

This I know, his mercy must be won
Just open your heart, this is the start
Inshallah the rains will come

On him I swear, his will must be done
Like tears from your eyes, pearls from the sky
Inshallah the rains will come

Father gathers, the people for their eyes to see
That if they combine their hearts and their minds
They will turn the deserts green

Side by side, they stand in the burning heat
They pray to the one that brought them the sun
To make the heavens weep

This I know, his mercy must be won
Just open your heart, this is the start
Inshallah the rains will come

On him I swear, his will must be done
Like tears from your eyes, pearls from the sky
Inshallah the rains will come

Like tears from your eyes, pearls from the sky
Inshallah the rains will come

Will come. Shower your mercy and wash away the sun
Will come. Pour down your blessings until the drought is gone
Will come. Soak up our tears and let the rivers run
Will come. Please answer your servants, Allah almighty one

This I know, his mercy must be won
Just open your heart, this is the start
Thank God that the rains have come

On him I swear, his will has been done
He dried the tears from our eyes, pearls from sky
Thank God that the rains have come

BE AT THE TOP

How come every time I go and I flip on the news channel
I see these images of Muslims having crude manners
Angry men, holding guns and a few camels
Terrorist pumping fists with their rude banners

You get anxiety, from symbols of our piety
Cause they don't show us Muslims who contribute to society
How come they don't show us doing positive things
We get abused and harassed so many problems this brings

Did this to black in the 60's, Japanese in the 40's
Were the same category how their messing with our stories
Flashing our picture over negative words
People are begging to learn but you just making it worse

But now were gonna watch you, your biases that pop through
And go against your sponsors advertisers if we got to
Wake up, its our right to defend,
gotta fight with the pen if our plights gonna end.

Chorus
We gonna be at the top, Inshallah
We're the cream of the crop, Inshallah
We're gonna rock till we drop, Inshallah
Cause believers never stop, Mashallah

We are the people with the plan, Inshallah
We're always doing what we can, Inshallah
Putting knowledge in the land, Inshalalh
With the power of the pen, Mashallah

Yes, Yes, Yes Ya'll. You know it time to listen very close
Because my lyrics are gonna get raw
Cause what you see is what you saw
‘Aint nothing changed but the criminal perception of the law

Like who's a criminal and whats a crime
I'm trying to define how the television washes your mind
Conspiracies against me and still
The majority of the people still believe whatever they see on TV

How can this be when obviously it's the media
Feeding lies to the people can't you see that bro
Uh, you need examples, for instance some cases
You don't know religion and you don't know about the races

You look, see black, think that I'm athletic
Then you look and see I'm Muslim and you think anti-Semitic
But check it, watch what they do to your mind kid
Its all connected you better not be blinded

Chorus

We all know the media aint doing us right
So everyday we write, that's the way we fight
We all know the media aint doing us right
And if we all unite will make them see the light

It's known that governments will stereotype
They profile us by day, lock us up in the night
It's known that governments will stereotype
But we still invite them to the deen that right

They put the word on the street
That Muslims got beef, say we in the middle east
Plotting with the sheikhs
Thinking that they right when we know they not
Say we coming up with the next terrorist plot

And with these petty lies, now we're not concerned
That's about the time we bring on that mic burn
And smash it, against all of they tactics
They let us have it, but you know we coming back kid

We got students copin' deen plus a law degree
To run these snakes straight out judiciaries
Future leaders burning up the quills
Torching all the lies so the people know the real

We aint the type of rhymers to saying bust the steal
We saying stop the lies and show them whats real
We aint the type of rhymers stay shoot to kill
We saying stop the blood, and let the ink spill

Zamilooni

He stepped inside his home, and he overwhelmed with fear
An angel came with words from God, things were still unclear
Saying read - read, but he couldn't read, then amazing words he heard
A trembling deep inside his heart, confused by what had occurred

There was only one who could comfort him
And help him see the light
To ease his fears, to reassure
It was khadijah, his wife

Chorus
He said Zamilooni, Zamilooni, Dathirooni, Dathirooni, (Envelop me, Embrace me)
A mighty task has come before me
I need you here with me
By my side

She was a woman of nobility, successful in all her trade
Many wealthy men had asked for her, she had turned them all away
But when she saw Muhammad, a shining moon, may peace be on his soul
He was a light for her – so right for her – her life will now be whole

But she had never seen him so distressed, as he was there that day
She would comfort him, and hold him tight, and chase his doubts away

Chorus

Bridge
We look for stories of love, in places dark and cold
When we have a guiding light, for the whole world to behold
But were so selfish in our ways, and to the ones we hold so close
Our own pleasure and happiness is what we value most

But she sacrificed all her wealth and everything she had
And he honored her, and gave her faith,
when the times were bad, when times were bad...

Now years have passed, times had changed, since khadijah breathed her last.
Message of the one true God, was spreading far and vast
But then he came across a neaklace, that khajidah once had worn
His eyes began to swell with tears, his heart again began to mourn

Cause she was there for him, when times were rough, and his enimies were cruel
Was the first believer, so keen and eager, to comfort al-Rasool

Chorus

Mawlaya salli wa sallim da'iman abada
'Ala habibika khayril khalqi kullihimi
(O my Leader, send your salutations and blessings forever
Upon Your Beloved, the best of the whole of creation)

M-U-S-L-I-M

One billion strong, all year long,
Prayers to Allah even in Hong Kong
Can never be wrong if we read the Qur'an
Cause it's never been changed since day one.
Others may brag, say that we lag,
But they don't know all the power we had
The power we had, the power we have
So Muslimoon don't you ever be sad
Take many looks, go read their books,
You'll see all the facts that your friends overlook,
So always be proud, you can say it out loud
I am proud to be down with the Muslim crowd!

M-U-S-L-I-M
I'm so blessed to be with them...
M-U-S-L-I-M
I'm so blessed to be with them...

They look at me strangely
Like I emit some type of energy
That draws Kafirs - disbelievers towards me.
Thinking to themselves what makes him different from me.
Is it the hair, the clothes or maybe the food he eats,
What could it be, that make thug cats, stand at attention,
His demeanor's peaceful but on his face it's clearly written that,
This aint the sorta brother caught up in this and that
Running streets carrying heat yo he aint into that.
This brother must live by some type of criteria,
To make it to the average cat quite superior
So maybe one of these days I get near enough
Play like Nancy Drew on this mystery and clear it up.
So listen up if you think this is strange,
Cause these the type of thoughts that use to run through a new Shahada's brains
and I bear witness to the one with 99 names, InshAllah I will always remain.

M-U-S-L-I-M
I'm so blessed to be with them...
M-U-S-L-I-M
I'm so blessed to be with them...

Don't know about you, I know about me,
I'm proud because I'm rolling Islamically
Everywhere I see, even on TV,
People talking trash about the way I be.
But what they all hate, is if we get great
Cause we're the only ones with our heads on straight
Don't ever frown, or your head looking down,
If you read the Qur'an you're the best in the town.
Y'all have doubt say- we have no clout
But-within-a-few years see how we've come about.
Were back on the scene, The number-one deen,
I'm proud to be down with the Muslimeen!

Chorus

Allhamdulilah

All praise is due to God.

The Deen You Know

I am the Deen you know
I am the Deen you need
I am the Deen you love
Please come back to me

He (satan) wants to bring you down, he whispers everyday
You started on the path and he led you astray
I know you will come back, you never feel at peace
You're searching for the truth to put your mind at ease
You know you're missing me, I know what you've been through
When we meet again, we have a lot of work to do

I am the Deen you know
I am the Deen you need
I am the Deen you love
Please come back to me

Your life had just begun, I helped to raise you up
You thought it'd be easy but your life turned out to be rough
You thought I let you down, I never let you go
I'm worried ‘cause you left me and you didn't even know
You know you're gonna die, who knows when that will be
Before you meet Allah you should come back to me

I am the Deen you know
I am the Deen you need
I am the Deen you love
Please come back to me

People coming back, People coming back To Islam, people are coming to this Deen
To Islam, you are invited to this Deen

Dedication

Ummi and Abi (Mother and Father)
This one is for you
I know I'm speakin' kinda different
But the message shines through
Just like that after fajr sun
Felt commanded by the One
Shine a light on those who raised righteous daughters and sons
Who, accept their purpose
Immersed in Allah's worship
Bartering this time in life
For an after life purchase
Started early in the season
Way back when we was teethin'
Sealed Islam in our hearts
So later on we be strictly DEENIN
I beg for their protection and forgiveness
And bestow on them Your mercy Allah
Which is endless
And on these words I stand true
As long as I'm alive I'll be praying for you
Come on!

Chorus

This goes out to my Ummi's and Abi's
Raising up these young Muslims to be Jannahtees (people of heaven)
This goes out to my young Uhktees (sisters) rocking hijab in the midst of the hot summers heat
This goes out to my young Akis (brothers) hold it down
for now
Cause one day we'll take the lead ya'll
This goes out to the Muslim family
It's a special dedication to you from me
To all my sisters we see ya'll out there
And don't fret because the people like to gawk and stare
It seems unfair
But some times it's with sincerity
Shocking to their system to see so much purity
Demonstrated in your adab (good manners) and your hijab (hair cover)
Eyes staring but their souls there wishing that they had
Your place in time
being righteously inclined
Purity of heart and mind
Guidance from the One, who swore by the time
that patience and adherence bring sustenance
Provisions from Allah SWT which is heaven sent
But TV, magazines, how fair they make it seem for you to leave the Deen
be his lifelong dream
And don't be confused, Shaitan (satan) pulls double duty
He's doing all he can to have you display your beauty
You're soldiers at war so prepare for the attack
And call on Allah cause He's got your back
This goes out to my Ummi's and Abi's
Raising up these young Muslims to be Jannahtees
This goes out to my young Uhktees rocking hijab in the midst of the hot summer's heat
This goes out to my young Akis hold it down for now
Cause one day we'll take the lead ya'll
This goes out to the Muslim family
It's a special dedication to you from me
Ya ahkhi, shibabul Muslimeen
Future leaders and receivers of this blessed Deen
To me it seems, Shaitan got us caught up in a scheme
Making our mission in life, to cop that cream
don't make me out, to be one who like, misunderstands
Cause I know one of these days, you'll support the fam
But whose gonna be left there to support Islam?
It's like the sister's heard the call
But what happen to my mans and them
Catch these gems, cause the pickin's is slim
The outlook for the men, right now is looking pretty grim
Accept for ya'll who be in it, since the beginning
Even in the 9th inning when the other team is winning
You were STILL in it
Volunteering and God fearing, adhearing to the call of Allah
Orienteering the Deen to the status where it's suppose to be,
And that's why I'm rocking this here Akhi.
Come on!
Chorus

Intentions

Waking up in the morning, gotta make my prayer
Am I really gonna' make it, when there is no one there?
Taking trips to the masjid (mosque), even when it's tough
Am I going for the sake of Allah? Am I showing off?
Gonna' get me the knowledge, gonna study Islam
Am I going just to build my ego? so they call me “the Man”?
Does it matter if the people respect me, when its not for Allah?
When I know anytime He can take me, without one real du'a (prayer)
Does it matter if they say I'm a big shot?
when I get no reward for my deeds
And I'm dragged on the Day of Resurrection
Cause of the folks that I wanted to please
Plus I know that Allah has the power
To raise me up in their eyes if it need be
I should always make my intentions, for my Lord, Allah completely

Chorus: Are my Intentions alright? am I doing for Allah?
When I'm looking deep, deep down inside, do I have the right niyyah?

Wearing thoubs with a kufi, kufi
Miswaks leather socks like the old days
Am I trying to follow the Prophet? or am I seeking praise?
Giving talks on Islam to people
I'd be quoting Hadith and Qur'an
Am I speaking so they like how I'm speaking? and they say I'm “the Bomb”
Donating to Islamic centers, giving money so the Deen can grow
Am I giving for the sake of Allah? or is it for show?
Many times I have found my intentions
Are not what I want them to be
I know I start on the right direction
But Shaitan starts talking to me
And I forget that without my niyyah, I'm just wasting my time
My intentions cannot bring the reward, when they're out of line
So I pray to Allah to help me, to do everything for Him only
Doesn't matter if the people despise me
Cause with Allah I can never be lonely Yah Allah, accept this niyyah
Coming from young Muslims striving to be believers
So on the day, our deeds You'll measure. Know we only did this strictly for Your pleasure, Your pleasure
Your mercy, Your ajur (reward), Your Jannah (heaven), forever and ever and ever
And reward us for those who listen
Heeded to the message, changing their condition
And know that everything up until this point I've ever written
I submit as my repentance
And if its blessings You're sending my way
I beg You hold them to the judgement day
so maybe in Jannah you can look back and say...it was a lovely day, a lovely, a lovely day, yes a lovely day
Are my intentions, alright, am I doing for Allah
When I am looking deep deep down inside, do I have the right niyyah (intention)?

Small Deeds

Ever been on a drive? Inside in your ride
And your looking through the glass, see a car on the side
The engine's broken and the car is smoking
And the dude is shaking cause the heat is baking
Or this cat's (guy) gotta flat, and the spare's all whack
No jack in the back, and no clue where he's at
There ain't no real rush, but you roll right by
Not even asking the guy if he needs a supply
He might be alright, and to pass ain't a sin
But within you feel bad the state that he's in
How hard would it been, just to ask “you ok”?
That might be the deed that you need to succeed
That might be the deed that will so please Allah
That your forgiven the sinning you did when you was living
It's a small little thing, that can cling and just ring
And will bring the blessing from Allah Who's the King
We pass on the deeds cause they seem all small
But it might be the deed that's the best of them all
Mad when see all the passes I took
On these small little deeds I just overlook

Chorus: I just can't believe
Small little deeds that I overlook, can you see?
Little deeds that I overlook, and you read
I read about it in my holy book, it says
Small deeds never overlook

Picking up trash on the path in a flash
Taking glass from the grass, as you pass to your class
A smile goes a mile and is sure worthwhile
When a brother's hostile, and has been for awhile
Put a dollar every day in the sadaqah (charity)
It may be small but you do it for the baraka (blessing)
I know you're saving for the Polo and the Nautica
A poor student but you do it just to please Allah
Things like praying for an ailing brother, under the weather
Obeying yo your lovely mother, it's for the better
Stay and help your baby brother, put on a sweater
Even saying good to one another when you're together
Advice to another sister about a mister
Your wife always go and kiss her, tell her you miss her
At night do quiet dikhr (mentioning God), and pray the witr
Invite a guy who wants to bicker, to share a snicker
Grand plans expand in our small little hands
But we overlook demands that just seem like strands
We get jammed on exams, cause we skip the small things
Small baby deeds come, bring the blessings!

Looking Glass

I saw a friend just the other day
We took a walk around the way
The sky was blue and his face was grey
I asked him what could cause such dismay?
He tallied his life and he noticed the score
He felt his pain he never felt before
He said it feels like He (Allah) can't no more
He said it feels like He (Allah) can't love me no more
No No No No

[Chorus]

He can't love me anymore
It's a fact I know for sure
We started out this life so pure
But He can't love me anymore
He can't love me anymore
It's a fact that I know for sure
I started out this life so pure
But He can't love me anymore
He went on about the past
To listen with patience was my only task
No need to pry and no need to ask
His words to me were my looking glass
And with much pain his heart did pour
With this feeling never felt before
He said it feels like, He (Allah) can't love me no more
He said it feels like, He (Allah) can't love me no more
No No No, No!

Chorus

I asked my friend how can this be?
Not the One Who created me
Cause if our sins outweighed the sea
Forgiveness comes so easily
Just repent and stay to the task
To make an effort is all He asks
And don't get bogged down by the past
His mercy outweighs His wrath
And He can love you once more
It's a fact that I know for sure
We started out this life so pure
But He can love you once more
And He can love you once more
It's a fact that I know for sure
We started out this life so pure
But He can love you once more.

For the Prophets

[Chorus]

Prayers To Allah be on Nabi
The messenger may peace be on thee
And all the prophets sent to mankind
We pray for each and everyone

Before he was born the Pharaoh wanted him dead
Nobody killed him he floated up the river instead
Not a scratch on his body and no blood did he shed
Ended up at the house of the man that wanted his head
They didn't know, they raised him as a child of their own
He was treated like a king up until he was grown
He protected a slave with one hit to one man with one hand
Killed him by mistake so that's when he ran
Drawn to a burning bush and spoke with the Greatest
Who told him go right back to Pharaoh and make sure that you say this:
You tell ‘em that you are a Messenger a Prophet of Mine
That I am the Divine and I am sending you with My signs
Pharaoh did decline, he rejected all 9 of the signs
Musa (Moses) said it's time, his people had to run to the sea
Split it in half with his staff, Pharaoh drowned in the wrath
Musa's people started worshipping a golden calf
Threw the tablets down because he was mad
It's sad that his people made him miss the Promised Land
But he's still one of the 5 greatest Prophets in Islam

[Chorus]

From average beginnings
Come above average endings
A simple du'a to have righteous descendants
From a mother, to a daughter who would soon give birth to a son
And right there
Miracle number 1
No father did he have to help conceive his birth
No other child would have this status here
on this planet Earth
And what's that phrase
From out of the mouths of babes
Schooling cats at a very young age
The sweetest of his breath bring life to birds of clay
Curing the blind so they could see a brighter day
Where Islam reigned supreme and the dunya gave way
Evil will be vanquished if strong the Muslims stay
Amongst his crew he asked the true to proclaim who they are
NAHNU ANSARULLAH (We are the helpers of God)
So Native Deen lets tell the people right now who we are
NAHNU ANSARULLAH
Healed those with leprosy raised the dead so we could see
No limit to the will of Allah and Allah's mercy
But the heedless they scammed
Plot and they planned
You may have gotten the body
But you did not get the man
He was raised to Allah to soon return again
Easy comes His mercy to the righteous Mu'min & Mu'minah
So Prophet Isa (Jesus), I hope that they see
Why we sing this for thee

[Chorus]

570 was a time like no other
A baby was born to a poor widowed mother
Was raised by his uncle in the sands of Arabia
Known it the town by his upright behavior
Always doing favors for the poor and the neighbors
A true life saver when their problems were major
Khadijah his boss he would soon marry later
Check the love that she gave him and the love that he gave her
At 40 years old, according to the Seerah in a cave called Hira
On a spiritual retreat, he would meet Jibraeel (Gabriel)
Angel Gabriel on the real
Holy Book of the Quran he had come to reveal: “Read in the Name of your Lord Who created”
And thus began a message from Allah dictated
at 622 the Prophet made the Hijrah
Migrated to a place where the people got the picture
He could teach about Allah without his people being beaten
His folks back in Mecca couldn't stand all the preaching
So they planned an attack, the Muslims fought back
‘cos they ain't the type of people who sit back and get sacked
But the Prophet wanted peace, they agreed upon a truce
For years there was peace, to teach about the truth
but the Meccans broke the treaty so the Prophet conquered Mecca
The Prophet brought peace, was not even a speck of bloodshed when he came and met his old foes
It's the mercy and the wisdom that the Prophet always shows
A man of justice, equality and love
On him we pray for peace and the blessings from above.

Paradise

[Chorus]
Paradise is only for the people who are righteous
So accept Islam you might just get the mercy when you pray to Allah (God)
You know that we want to go to Heaven
When you pray to Allah, When you pray to Allah, When you pray to Allah
Anything you want you gonna have when you think of it
There ‘ain't nothing you would like you gonna love it when you pray to Allah
You know that we want to go to Heaven
When you pray to Allah, When you pray to Allah, When you pray to Allah

Brothers acting like they're Rock
Sisters acting like they're hot
Muslims smoking pot
It happens a lot
And I hope my people stop and think about the clock
It goes tick + tock, life is over then you drop
Six feet deep under the earth waiting for your second birth
Allah will raise you up to see what your life was worth
What did your ears hear, what did your eyes see
What did your mouth say to those in your family
‘Cos children cussing out their dads, moms is getting mad
Parents getting frustrated ‘cos kids are getting bad
They're physically involved
and some are getting drunk
And others acting like Paradise is not what they want
And the mothers and father crying, “What happened to our baby?
Tried to raise ‘em right and now this child has grown up crazy.”
Maybe it's because their self esteem is really low
Or maybe it's because the children didn't know THAT

Chorus

Let me speak with my Ikhwan, my brothers in Islam
I said you're looking like the Rock now what was on my mind
Sport the newest clothing line so the sisters think we're fine
Imitate JZ, LL Cool J, Eminem and Genuine
But can't nobody see Islamic identity
‘Cos we dress just like the people on TV
This life of glitter and commotion and amusement ain't for me
Life after death is the true reality
So brothers where yall at, let's represent this deen
If you wearing Shukr gear you know exactly what I mean
Tell the club you gotta go, leave them drugs and thugs in jail
Living ghetto fabulous will lead you straight to hell
Time to step up to the plate, it's never too late
You're a member of this Ummah so you don't assimilate
Disseminate this knowledge, go tell it to your bro
‘Cos I'm sure there's other people in this world who do not know THAT

Chorus

Sisters don't you go to sleep, its gonna get deep
You're the mothers of this Ummah paradise is at your feet
But your phone is going beep from some boy that thinks you're sweet
But he ‘ain't the type of guy that you want your parents to meet
You're dressing to expose like those music videos
It's so tight, it'd be better if you loosen up your clothes
Be careful with these bros ‘cos Native Deen has seen a lot of sisters having babies with no Nikah (marriage) or walimah
So lower your gaze, fast a couple of days
Ask the scholars how does it feel when you give Allah praise
You think this life is a game but Shaitan is playing us
Go back to MYNA Raps and get Jihad of the Nafs
But you're wearing your hijab, I know that makes you strong
I know it's kind of tough when you feel that you don't belong
Being young it ‘ain't easy but don't ever feel alone
We were there, it was rough so we want it to be known THAT

Chorus

Test

Lately things have been so stressed for you
It seems like life is trying to mess with you and pester you
You thought you knew exactly what to best pursue
You working hard on those things that you set to do
But you confess it's true that your success is few
And your folks are only helping in depressing you
You try to do the Deen but they be stressing you
And it gets to you but you suppress that too
An exam, you go and study day and night
You pray and write, hope for a grade you like
But when you get the test you're in dismay and fright
There's no A in sight and only 8 were right, wow!
And what about the sister you enquired about
She's so pious, devout that it required a scout
But then you get the news her Wali fired you out
They were wired, no doubt, to someone higher in clout
Lately its seems that your calling in life
Is just you falling in strife
The word appalling is right
And you notice you've been feeling sick, why who knows
So you call upon the doctor she can eye it close
She tells you I suppose, that you wont be very happy when I diagnose
Although you try your hardest not to cry it shows
It's a monster load, and your strength is sinking
You start wondering and thinking

What's going on? it seems all wrong, why am I the one struggling along?
I don't know why I'm hurting, I never hurt nobody
My life I'm living right, but it's crumbling around me
How strong is my faith this time? (got to pass the test)
Will my solution include Haram? (got to pass the test)
I gotta be strong during times like these, (got to pass the test)
I know after hardship there goes ease! (got to pass the test)

[Chorus]
It's a test, (from Allah), a test (from your Lord), it's a test (what you gonna do?), gotta realize it's a test (4x)

Folks used to say you were smarty kid
Others made mistakes but you hardly did
Since then man, life has just been marvelous
You stand tall like an obelisk
It's obvious
Your high paying job is never arduous
Your living in your crib and you got marble this and marble that
Others dream to rival that
And your blessed to never draw major debt
because success is your motto nothing keeps you down
Passing peeps in town, yo by leaps and bounds
People clapping when you talk because of deep renown
You drive Hummers and top model jeeps around
You know its bad and haram to be a miser and boast
But your healthier and wealthier and wiser than most
You gotta an adviser to those, who try to propose
Cause there's so many potentials that they line up in rows
You got it all, the power the money the wealth
Your thinking God's gotta love you more than anyone else
But wait Whoa wait a second, this isn't what your thinking
You gotta stop and think why you getting all the blessings
Don't want to let it shake ya, or let the devil make ya
Forget to praise Allah and then fail the test your taken
No doubt you're gonna try your best
Gotta be thankful and pray no less
Already gotta head up above the rest
Cause you realize this is just a test

Chorus

So face it, in life, you'll be tested at times
The devil, he's bright, don't let him mess with your mind
Yo, we're blessed, the Divine, which is the best for mankind
So He (God) gives us exams so don't get stressed out and whine
Even the best of all humanity was tested Himself
Allah can test us with calamity or test us with wealth
Can you hold back from profanity and focus yourself
Or maybe keep away from vanity and function in stealth
It's tough, trust me I know that it's rough
But after pain comes ease and you'll be blessed from above
I hope when the time for my test comes along I will cope and I'll find I'll be blessed when I'm strong
So my people, when life is a mess
You gotta focus and realize, this could be your test.

Drug free '05

[Chorous]
I don't need to get high, some people do and some people die
The life that I live may not be that long
But while I'm alive I'll be healthy and strong

I think it's cruel and inconsiderate
When people huffin' and they puffin' on a cigarette
Then blow the smoke in the area that I breathe
Sometimes they blow it in my face when they talk to me
I'm not trying to tell you that you need to quit
But you need to show respect for the one you're with
And if that's an individual who doesn't smoke
You need to put the cigarette out before they choke
You started smoking 'cause you thought that it was cool
Now you addicted and you don't know what to do
Yeah you addicted to a drug baby that ain't smart
Because it collapses your veins damages your heart
And your lungs are getting blacker than you've ever seem
That's the effect of tobacco and nicotine
See what I mean

Chorus

Ain't no wisdom in that alcohol
They say, "Do you want it?" and I say, "Not at all"
They tell me that I need to take a drink to be cool
I tell 'em, "Man, I'm already cool. What's up with you?"
Now is you crazy or is it that you didn't know
That every time you drink the alcohol you loose control
Become abusive to all the people that you love
After your buzz, can't remember what you thinking of
Oh yeah that drug ruins people and their families
They want it to happen to me but that's a fantasy
How can this be? I'm feeling pressure from the left and right
I'm watching TV and they tell me to drink Bud Light
Wasn't subliminal I got the message loud and clear
They want me spending all my money on a can of beer
They must be crazy trying to trick me like some kind of fool
They get me laughing at those frogs and iguanas too
Now is it true that if I drink I'll be the man?
No, that's a lie, so me I got a different plan
So understand that my mind sees reality
Like Mortal Combat can you say "Fatality"
Them tactics work on other people they don't work on me
Being drug free is the way that I want to be
Say it with me

Chorus

I don't smoke, I don't drink, I don't need
To get high, I don't mess with the weed
And my heart bleeds when I see my people on their knees
Beggin' like they got an incurable disease
Addictions start with a sip of a drink, one puff of a smoke
So the people need to think
And I do, so do you and your crew
When they push drugs on you what you gonna do? SAY

I don't need to get high, some people do and some people die
The life that I live may not be that long, but while I 'm alive I'll be healthy and strong

Sakina

Coming home in the evening, each day much on my mind
Fast pace of living in the West, with such little time
Cars and folks yell at me, everybody making me spin
We know we gotta' have patience, so we hold it within
Stress, doctors say it makes a brother sick and I know this is true
So I call out to my Lord each day to please help me through
Then when I come and I see my daughter's face so bright
With smiles there to great me at the door, like a beautiful light
I can only thank Allah for this blessing on me
For giving me Sakina, this tranquility!

When Allah sends His Sakina on me, how do I feel?
It's like peace inside my heart and I know that it's real
When Allah sends His Sakina on me, how do I feel?
It's like peace inside my heart and I know that it's real

Allah knows that people in the past had it harder than me
Allah saw the evil hearted men with no mercy
Allah felt the hearts of the Muslims as they came near
Allah sent His tranquility and they lost all their fear
Cause Allah says if you trust Him and you truly have faith
Allah sends His Sakina and He showers His grace
How? Maybe as a peaceful rest, a long needed sleep
How? Maybe as a cloud up high with shade from the heat
How? Maybe as a loving wife that gives you her light
How? Maybe as your daughter with her smile so bright

When Allah sends His Sakina on me, how do I feel?
It's like peace inside my heart and I know that it's real
When Allah sends His Sakina on me, how do I feel?
It's like peace inside my heart and I know that it's real.
